ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Arah Iloabugichukwu is a journalist, writer, and author of the new book Of Mothers & Daughters.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, better known as the Mississippi of the North, Arah’s unconventional upbringing helped hip her to the literary genius of international award-winning writers like Chinua Achebe, Tony Morrison and Ben Okri, all of whom had a profound influence on her writing style.

Arah is a lifelong writer who first began her exploration of the art of storytelling in the third grade. Imposter syndrome survivor and former self defeatist, she spends her time penning literary pieces on popular culture, social justice issues and human behavior. She lives in Houston, Texas with her loving family.
